To shorten a long and painful experience. On Monday Dec.18th, I forgot I'm not a youngster any longer stepped over a short gate instead of bending down to swing it open and the rest is history. Tiffany asked if Uncle David gave me a 9 or 10 for performance. In my eyes it all happened in slow motion.........I didn't think I'd ever stop falling. Result of my stupidity was torn cartilage on left ribcage, severely bruised right ribcage and black & blue knees, and bruised the heels of both hands. But no broken bones to every ones surprise. My ego was severely damaged and the lectures from my loved ones was very nearly unbearable. But prayer got me through it.
Had to spend three weeks bound up around my mid section like a mummy and taking sponge bathes, sleeping in my recliner instead of my Tempurpedic. But I only missed one day of work and re-learned getting in and out of my Xterra without using my left arm. Seat belt was my biggest challenge. Still depending on Motrin but no more Vicadin. Doctor says it will be several more weeks before the pain is gone and maybe even longer but pain I can handle, being a burden to others, I can't. But ohhhhh the joy of being back in my bed under my own power and showering every day is pure heaven..........Thank you Sweet Jesus.

I am sooo sorry to hear about your fall. But on the plus side, now I know where my coordination (or whatever) came from. My other question has to do with Vicodin--did you read any good books while on that stuff?? I read the entire Harry Potter series when I had it after hand surgery. My special effects were better than the movies!!
Thanks for the advice;) Sorry to hear about your trouble but glad you are feeling better.
Wow! I hope you feel better soon!
